Master and PhD Opportunities

The Antwerp Doctoral School helps Ph.D. candidates complete the Ph.D. process successfully and prepares them for their careers by means of tailor-made doctoral programmes. To this end, the Antwerp Doctoral School organises a mandatory doctoral study programme which PhD candidates put together themselves depending on their needs. PhD candidates can choose from a wide range of courses and also incorporate research-related activities into the doctoral study programme.

Besides a wide range of courses and training programmes, the Antwerp Doctoral School also organises information sessions, lectures, and other activities aimed at both Ph.D. candidates and post-doctoral researchers.

UBI has infrastructure to support the teaching and research in all scientific areas of its formative offer. Classrooms, laboratories and libraries are equipped with the latest technologies providing students with adequate conditions for personal and scientific development.

The Doctorate at ITA is a course of approximately 4 years, composed of a set of disciplines, publication of articles and a thesis. The Master is a course of approximately 2 years, consisting of a set of disciplines and a dissertation. All academic courses are free of tuition fees.
